the central platau

The central plateau is located approximately 2,000 feet above sea level, making it an important feature of the region's landscape. Surrounding this plateau are the northern highlands, which rise even higher, reaching elevations of over 3,000 feet. Despite covering only about 25% of the total land area, the central plateau is home to a significant portion of the population. It holds the largest city in the area, making it a bustling place of activity and culture. The climate around the central plateau is characterized as tropical. This means that the region experiences distinct seasons, with a rainy season stretching from May to October, where heavy showers are common. Following this, from November to April, the region enters a dry season, providing a contrast to the wetter months. Additionally, the coastal areas also enjoy a tropical climate, which contributes to the overall variations of plants and lush vegetation found in the surroundings. These climatic conditions have a substantial impact on the lifestyles of the people living there, as well as on agriculture and other economic activities in the region.
